Quality Co-ordinator

We are looking seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious and self-motivated Quality Co-ordinator to join our team in Chesterfield.   This role will be responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the Quality Management, Hygience and BRC systems in accordance with the requirements of the ISO and BRC Technical standards.

Previous experience within a quality role will be advantageous, together with experience within the packaging industry.

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Management of the Quality and Hygiene systems in accordance with the relevant ISO and BRC Technical standards.
  • Develop and review existing documented working instructions .
  • Carry out internal Audits to ensure the effectiveness of the elements of the Management systems
  • Investigate and record details of Customer complaints, identifying and ensuring all agreed corrective actions are suitable, achievable, timebound and fed back to the Customer within required timescales.
  • Offer Technical support to the Customer where required.
  • Develop good working relationships with the Top 20 Customers, including attending regular review meetings with a robust action plan of continuous improvement.
  • Participate in all new job meetings and post review meetings with relevant Departments to identify any areas of improvement.
  • Attend monthly review meetings with Suppliers ensuring all claims are processed whilst reviewing any corrective actions from NC’s.
  • Audit any new Suppliers as per the requirements within the Quality Standard
  • Attend Quarterly Group Quality meetings to develop networking opportunities with sister plants and adoption/sharing of best practices.
  • Update and maintain Calibration register and associated equipment
  • Reporting of monthly site FSC performance.
  • Regular daily visual checks of product being produced to ensure compliance to Quality standards
  • Regular daily visual checks of product being loaded to ensure all finished goods are presented in the best manner.
  • Hold monthly reviews with relevant Departments to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Hold regular Toolbox Talks with all staff on any areas of concern relating to Quality.
  • Distribute Monthly Report on relevant Quality Data to site and Management Team.
  • Participate in any training or mentoring as required to improve knowledge and increase job capabilities.
