Production Manager

An exciting oppurtunitiy has arisen for a Production Manager.

We are looking for someone with an exceptional passion for engaging with colleagues at all levels of the business and a desire and hunger to drive an improvement culture.

The role is responsible for all of the Corrugator, conversion and service areas, initiatives and objectives on site so a clear understanding and background in all related area requirements is a must.

To be successful for this role, candidates will ideally meet all or most of the following requirements:

Main Tasks/Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Be a driving force for a ‘safety first’ culture
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and audits are completed on time
  • Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
  • Ensuring the day to day running of the production departments are sufficiently resourced
  • Attending production performance meetings and addressing production issues
  • Liaising with engineering on machine problems and solutions
  • Have regular meetings with production planning to ensure customer deliveries are produced on time
  • Hold regular 1-1 reviews with the Shift Managers and support where required
  • Attend customers where required to support technical sales and visits
  • Ensure quality procedures are followed on all machines and customer complaints are completed within the required time
  • Identify training requirements of employees for development
  • Utilise performance improvement tools across the business which identify performance improvements, Zero loss, OMP etc.
  • Take a root cause approach to driving improvements
