We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Manager supporting the UK&I.  Reporting to the UK&I Procurement Director, this newly created role will be responsible for delivering best practice results within procurement. The role will require the successful candidate to visit our Corby site 2-3 days per week.

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading the procurement process for the packaging and raw materials category.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to find and address existing and potential supply challenges.
  • Implement best practice Procurement process focusing on compliance, process improvement, utilising tools and reporting.
  • Supplier Relationship Management - develop and lead supplier relationships to ensure effective delivery and KPI adherence.
  • Line Management of the Purchasing Co-ordinator.
  • Support UK&I Procurement Director in supplier negotiations.
  • Monitoring compliance of centrally negotiated contracts (whilst respecting local site ownership).
  • Management of UK&I Procurement data systems (including SAP data harmonisation).
  • BRC, ISO9000 & SEDEX supplier auditing.
  • Compiling and maintaining records, supplier databases & procurement contracts.
  • Conducting supplier reviews - monitoring of supplier quality & service levels.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a materials procurement, gained within a fast paced manufacturing environment.  They will also be a skilled negotiator with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
