SAP Reliability Engineer 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role holder will use the SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module within SAP to organise and maintain SAP PM work orders, oversee, and participate in the upkeep of the SAP-PM structure and provide continuous improvements to the Preventive Maintenance program.  You will also support the Engineering department on a day-to-day basis with contract management, team management, and annual Engineering compliance schedules.

Main Duties

  • Coordinate Preventative Maintenance activities to minimise machine downtime whilst maximising maintenance opportunities.
  • Coordinate all Engineering statutory checks.
  • Update and create Maintenance Plans, Maintenance Items and Task lists.
  • Build detailed job plans in conjunction with the Engineering team.
  • Manage materials as they pertain to preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance work orders.
  • Plan and schedule all preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities in conjunction with the Engineering team.
  • Manage parts procurement for all preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities in conjunction with the Engineering team.
  • Control and coordinate the development of Engineering Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Manage, coordinate, and schedule contractor activities in the performance of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities. 
  • Support the Stores Coordinator to manage and control the maintenance spare parts inventory.
  • Maintain an effective auditing process of completed PM, ensuring follow up and review of completed PM in conjunction with the Engineering team to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support, and lead where required, Zero Loss and root cause analysis activities.
  • Responsible for the release and distribution of all preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance works orders for the forward plan. 

 

 

 

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Significant experience with a CMMS system, preferably SAP PM (Preventative Maintenance) and SAP MM (Material Master) but training will be provided as required.
  • Experience working within a fast paced Manufacturing Engineering department.
  • Knowledge and understanding of maintenance processes.
  • A strong mechanical/electrical aptitude is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation and organisational skills.
