Sales Account Manager

This role is Full time.  The successful candidate will need to be able to work flexibly and will be part of the Sales Team, with responsibility for managing all market activities relating to nominated accounts.

You will have a very well-developed commercial awareness increasing margins and seeking improvements by being involved in internal and external CTO projects.

You will possess excellent inter-personal skills to build relationships of trust with senior stakeholders both within customer organisations and internally at Smurfit Kappa supporting the Pan-European Account Team as necessary.

You must have a clean driving license and be able to travel to visit customers and prospective customers at their site(s).

You will be a creative problem solver seeking ingenious solutions to meet customer needs.

Ideally you will have experience of Corrugated; packaging or an allied sector as well as manufacturing experience in a FMGC environment.

You must be a team player but also be willing to able to work alone managing your workload and time effectively.

    • Significant experience in the management of multi-site and key accounts
    • Excellent management skills with a strong drive to deliver Customer satisfaction, budget performance as well as sustainable profit and volume growth
    • Excellent communicator with the ability to see things from someone else’s point of view. Manage relationships whilst driving the company towards continuous improvement
    • Excellent commercial awareness of all areas of the Supply Chain
    • Ability to make and communicate effective and concise decisions
    • Ideally educated to degree level with a knowledge of the Packaging sector or related area of manufacturing
