Please carefully read the information below setting out how eTalent Ltd. (eTalent) and the company to whom you are about to make an application for employment, propose to use, store and process your psychometrics results and personal data when you register with us.
The company to whom you are applying for employment (“the Employer”) has asked you to complete a psychometric assessment called eTalent, a state-of-the-art, computerised expert system that produces work-related assessments for use in the business environment. While eTalent is a very useful tool, the results from this assessment are only part of a complete evaluation. Other factors not evaluated by eTalent – including your specific circumstances, technical skills, experience, education, and job history – will also be considered in developing a complete picture of you.
Your answers to the eTalent Personality Survey and other instruments used with eTalent are confidential. The interpretation of these answers by the eTalent system is also confidential and will be provided only to the Employer. Your eTalent answers and results will not be provided to any other organisation for any other purpose.
The Employer has purchased the right to request eTalent reports based on your responses to the eTalent surveys. These reports belong to the Employer, and they retain the right to decide if and when you will receive feedback on your assessment results. You should know that applicants for employment typically do not receive any feedback on their psychometric assessment results.
Your responses to the eTalent psychometric instruments will be added anonymously to our database. We use this database to compute group averages and other normative statistics used by the eTalent system. The contents of this database are used for research purposes only and are not shared with any company or organisation for any other purpose.
The sort of information we will hold and process includes your personal contact details, application form and references, records relating to your qualifications and career history, such as training records and the answers and results of your online psychometric test.
For the purposes of processing your application, eTalent as well as the Employer, may keep information relating to your application and process personal information about you relating to your age, racial or ethnic origin, biometric data, gender or sexual orientation only for the purposes of diversity monitoring.
The Employer will use your personal information for administration purposes, including carrying out appropriate security checks, for statistical analysis and monitoring equality of opportunity. It’s also possible that in some circumstances, it may be necessary for your information to be transferred outside of the European Economic Area to comply with our legal or contractual requirements for the purposes of processing your recruitment application. We will ensure we have in place IT security and anti-virus software to safeguard your data at all times.
We use automated decision making in limited circumstances such as (but not limited to) where a role requires criminal record checks, a particular type of work permit, or minimum qualifications. Based on those checks, our recruitment software will identify automatically candidates who do not appear to meet essential criteria. You should be aware that such applications may still be viewed and considered by the Employer.
The personal data you provide during this application process will be stored by eTalent for a period of 6 months, after which it will be confidentially deleted from our database.
If in the future we intend to process your personal data for a purpose other than that which it was collected we will provide you with information on that purpose and any other relevant information.
